Where the numbers come from
Every analysis follows one fixed path. Verified market data is read by this platform’s own pricing and historical engines, those engines compute every figure, and only then is a language model asked to describe the result in ordinary sentences.
The reverse — asking a model for a number and presenting the answer as market data — is not something this feature can do. The model is never given the raw data to calculate from, and never given a way to return a figure that was not already computed here.
- 1. Verified reference prices and the historical series are read server-side.
- 2. GMI’s engines compute every price, change, percentage, high and low.
- 3. Those computed figures, already formatted, become the only facts available.
- 4. The model writes an explanation of them, and nothing else.
- 5. Every number in that explanation is checked back against step 2 before display.

What it will not do
Each of these is enforced by the code that runs this feature, not by asking the model nicely.
- It never produces a price.
- Every figure is computed by this platform's own pricing and historical engines and handed to the model already formatted. The model can quote those figures; it has no way to create one.
- It never does arithmetic.
- Changes, percentages, highs and lows are all calculated in GMI code before the model is called. A model asked to add two numbers is a model that can get them wrong.
- An answer containing an unverified number is thrown away.
- Before any text is shown, every number in it is checked against the exact set this platform supplied. One figure that does not match discards the whole answer — you see nothing rather than something unverified.
- It never predicts, and never advises.
- No forecast, target, signal or recommendation to buy, sell or hold is produced, and nothing here is personalised to you. It explains what the data already shows.
- It cannot see your portfolio.
- My Gold holdings, transactions and valuations are not part of the information this feature reads. It works only from public market data.
- It cannot browse.
- There is no web access, no search and no external lookup. The only information available to it is the verified data shown alongside the answer.
The available analyses
There is no open-ended question box. The analyses are a fixed list, each one tied to a specific set of verified figures, so what the model is asked is always something this platform can actually answer from its own data.

An analysis is refused outright if the verified data behind it is missing. It is never written around a gap, and never filled in from memory.
Data behind every analysis
Current reference prices come from this platform’s own pricing pipeline, with the observation time and freshness status shown beside every figure. Historical figures come from the World Bank’s monthly commodity price series. These are two different datasets, with different providers and different meanings, and they are never presented as one — a monthly average is not a current price, and neither is described as the other.

Limitations worth knowing
The accuracy check verifies numbers, not reasoning. It guarantees that every figure quoted is one this platform computed; it cannot guarantee that the sentence around that figure is the most useful interpretation of it. Read the explanation as commentary, and the verified panel as the record.
Movement is described, never explained causally. Where a direction is stated, it is the result of comparing the first and last observation in a stated window — a description of what happened, not a reason it happened and not an indication of what happens next.
