Gold and Silver: World Bank Commodity Price Data ("Pink Sheet"), monthly averages, nominal USD per troy ounce — the same verified series used elsewhere on this platform. Not live, not spot, not dealer pricing.

Normalized performance rebases both series to 100 at the first month both metals have a verified observation in the selected range, so the shapes can be compared despite very different absolute prices. This is a display rebasing only — no return or ratio figure is computed from the rebased values; total return is computed directly from the real start and end prices.

The Gold / Silver ratio is the Gold price divided by the Silver price for the same month — read directly from the two verified series, never computed from the normalized chart above.

A month with a verified observation for only one metal is excluded from every comparison and ratio figure on this page — it is never paired with a neighbouring month, and no missing observation is ever filled in, interpolated, or estimated.
